Introducing Barney & Co. Fine Art Pet Photography!
If you’ve followed Little Tiger Feet for a while, you’ll know that my studio has never been exclusively about tiny humans.
Over the years, I’ve photographed plenty of four-legged family members too, including perfectly behaved show dogs, through to chaotic litters of puppies! I say yes to welcoming much-loved family pets, pooches and kitties, and even more unusual scaled and feathered types too!
Funnily enough, in spite of my business being called Little Tiger Feet, I’ve never had an actual tiger in… just very large domestic cats! It’s probably a good idea to keep it that way… I haven’t checked my insurance for actual tigers!
I’ve loved every single paw that has come through my door. So much so, in fact, that my pet photography has gradually grown into something that deserves a place of its own.

I’d love to introduce you to Barney & Co. — my new fine art pet photography brand.
So, why a completely separate photography business?
Little Tiger Feet isn’t going anywhere! This is still where I’ll be photographing babies, children, birthdays and families… all the wonderful stages I’ve spent years capturing.
But my pet photography has started to develop its own identity. I’ve found myself drawn towards a more distinctive fine-art style: beautiful light, rich tones, carefully considered sets and portraits designed to look more like artwork than simply a photograph of your dog. I wanted somewhere I could really explore that, and it didn’t feel quite like it fit here any more.
A brand dedicated entirely to animals, their personalities and the extraordinary place they occupy in our families.
And there was only ever going to be one name for it.

Why Barney & Co.?
If you’ve visited the Little Tiger Feet studio before, there’s a good chance you already know Barney. Barney was my much-loved dog and my constant companion for almost twelve years. He was majestic and ridiculous in equal measure. Beautifully mannered, loved by just about everyone he met, completely obsessed with the beach and very much part of our family.
When Barney died after a short illness earlier this year, the photographs I had of him suddenly became more important than I could ever have imagined. They weren’t simply photographs of my dog anymore. They were him. All those tiny details that had been so familiar for so many years. And I realised just how important it is to create beautiful photographs of the animals we love while they’re here beside us.
And from Barney came Barney & Co.
A Different Style. The Same Jenny!
Barney & Co. will have a slightly different feel to Little Tiger Feet. It’s more fine art. More heirloom. A little moodier, but still filled with creativity. And it’s very much centred around creating finished portraits and artwork that you’ll want to have on the walls of your home.
But behind the camera, it’s still me. My approach hasn’t changed. I still don’t expect perfect behaviour from your pets! Your dog doesn’t need to be able to sit beautifully on command. Your puppy is allowed to be a puppy. Your cat is absolutely permitted to regard the entire experience with complete disdain. Or spend three-quarters of the session under the sofa.
The finished product looks a little different, but the way I work with people and animals is very much the same.

It’s Not Just Dogs!
Despite Barney being the inspiration behind the brand, Barney & Co. isn’t exclusively for dogs. Cats, lizards, hamsters – any and all much-loved pets are welcome too. There will also be specialist sessions for breeders and litters of puppies, portraits celebrating the different chapters of a dog’s life, and the opportunity for owners and families to be photographed alongside their pets.
Because they’re not really separate from the family story, are they?

What Happens to Little Tiger Feet?
Very little! Little Tiger Feet Photography will continue to specialise in maternity, newborn, baby, child, birthday and family photography in Nottingham.
Over time you may see the style evolve a little, because I think every photographer’s work should continue to grow, but Little Tiger Feet will remain the home of my people and family photography. Barney & Co. simply gives my pet photography room to become something more. I am still one photographer with two brands, and two slightly different styles.
I am still one photographer, who is apparently incapable of choosing between babies and dogs. So I choose both. And I’m quite happy with that.
Come and Meet Barney & Co.
The new website is now live, and I’d absolutely love you to have a look! Whether you have a tiny puppy, an elderly dog whose face you know every line of, a cat who secretly runs your household, or simply a pet who means the world to you, Barney & Co. has been created for you.
Because one of the things I’ve learnt through both Little Tiger Feet and Barney is this: The stages of life we think we’ll remember forever have a habit of passing far too quickly. Photographs give us a way to hold onto a little piece of them.
And that’s exactly what Barney & Co. is here to create.

7. Can you photograph puppies?
Absolutely, and they’re some of my favourite sessions, and what I’m increasingly becoming known for!
Puppies change incredibly quickly during their first year. One minute they’re tiny enough to fit on your lap, and before you know it they’re fully grown. Whether you are a breeder who wants photos to remember your pups by, or a new owner who
Professional puppy portraits are a wonderful way to remember those early weeks and months before they disappear all too quickly.
8. My dog is getting older. Is it too late for a photoshoot?
It’s never too late. Never.
Senior dogs deserve to be included just as much as puppies. In fact, when they have been a steady member of your household for years, they should be celebrated more.
In fact, many owners tell me afterwards that they only wish they’d booked sooner, to capture their younger, more playful years.
Older dogs often have the calmest expressions and the gentlest personalities, creating beautifully timeless portraits.
Sessions are adapted to suit your dog’s comfort, with plenty of breaks whenever needed.

Still Have a Question?
Every dog is different, and every owner has different ideas about the photographs they’d love to create.
If there’s anything you’re unsure about, please don’t hesitate to ask. I’d much rather answer your questions before your session so that you arrive feeling relaxed, excited and ready to enjoy the experience.
After all, the best photographs happen when both you and your dog are simply enjoying yourselves.
If you’re looking for a professional dog photographer in Nottingham or Nottinghamshire, I’d love to hear from you and help create portraits that you’ll treasure for years to come.
